MY WAY OUT

Legendary trans club The Way Out is approaching its 30th anniversary. This documentary looks back over the last three decades of London’s vibrant trans scene, through interviews and valuable archival footage, to reveal the profound impact this club has had on the trans community.

The director, through interviews with founder Vicky Lee and other regular members of the scene, reconstructs an indispensable chapter of queer history, while offering a panoramic view of the generational, cultural and individual diversity of trans experiences. The documentary immerses us in the struggles, fears and pains, but also the victories, joys and celebrations that characterize these unique experiences.
